Preservative for ammo and guns

So I like a couple of products out there but this is a what if question. I run out of gun oil. I am concerned about bullets beginning to deteriorate from moisture. Who rubbing bacon on my guns and bullets keep them in good shape?

When I would shoot a gun and bullet that had bacon fat on them I wonder if it will smell like bacon?

I am actually serious about substitutes for gun oil.
