Greetings to the forum

Hello, all. After perusing several posts on the Survivalist Boards site, I decided to create an account and open a dialogue. I'm a novelist working on a post-apocalyptic series, and I love sites like this when I'm doing research. There's absolutely nothing like getting information straight from the horse's mouth; you can access a million places online for general information and theoretical ideas, but real-world experience is far more immediate.

I just scoured some great forum info on using a .22 rifle, and got some excellent insight as to whether someone could use one to bring down a deer--or a human foe, if need be.

Anyway, I can see I'll be spending some time digging through this website while I work on book two of my series, and I hope to be able to tap the wealth of knowledge of the forum when I have specific questions.
