New 308 rifle break in?

I go with;

1 shot & clean
2 shots & clean
3 shots & clean
4 shots &........etc

Mostly they are looking good after 20-30 rounds.

I did have a Rem 700 in .308win that shot one MODP (minute of dinner plate) until I'd put just over 100 rounds down it. I was seriously about to give up on it and then it finally came good.

They'll be many ways to skin this cat though........
