New member of the family, what to do now?

First - think about the dangers in your house/daily life - blinds cords (hanging), door chime when doors are open, alarm system, video system, do you have a pool, who do you let in the house (babysitters, contractors, cleaners, etc...), leaving guns around, ensuring driveway is clear when pulling in or out, being extra careful when it's hot outside and baby is in the car, how to transfer baby into car from grocery cart while loading groceries (keep her in the cart -potential to roll or put her in the car - what happens if you get car jacked at that moment), can you get her out of her car seat with no visibility, can you get to her room and get out of the house with no visibility (fire), etc..

That's the day to day stuff - not to mention keeping the boys away when she gets older...

But for now:
how will you transport (baby back pack carrier)
How will you feed (formula in BOB/BOL)
Baby sanitation (cloth diapers)
She can't withstand the elements like you can so extra protection for cold (blankets, hats gloves heaters )& heat (fans and shade)
Her comfort/Rx - diaper rash, nose suction (to remove snot), stomach issues, etc..

Preparing with kids is really tough - even tougher when you think about long term.
But it also gives me the deeper meaning of being a prepper - it's the ability to care for my family.
