Brush Guards on your truck

I WAS caribou hunting in northern Quebec on the farthermost road you can drive in that part of the world.
I was driving a 2500HD Chevy 4x4 and on the front were 4 KC Daylighters and a BIG Westin bar.

The caribou get on the roads and will not get off. But, they will also stampede if an approaching vehicle comes at them. SO, as I was leaving the area an incoming vehicle had started a stampede. All I say was a mob of blobs coming out of the dark on the ice road. IMPACT, I was down to about 10-15, the 5 caribou that hit the front of my truck were trying to stop and/or veer off.
SO
COntact was about 30mph collectively, weight of critters, averaging 350-400lbs each, you do the math,
DAMAGE
I killed 3 of them outright the other 2 were walking wounded.
They broke one of the KC lights, bent out of line 2 others. Only actual truck damage was where one ran its nose through the protection bars and beaked the plastic grill work causing about a 4 inch hole.
The Westin was bent back enough to where the hood touched the steel when you raised it. It was also twisted on its hanger a little bit, but DANG...
that was impact and that was protection.

If not for the Westin my truck front would have been crushed about 400+ miles from the nearest wrecker/repair facility and it would have been a very bad and expensive experience.

ALL my vehicles carry front end protection... and BIG lights.
