if its +P it should say it on the box.. a lot of good self defense ammo is non +P, so +P isnt even that important.. however, i would look up some short barrel ballistics tests for 9mm, some of the stuff that performs beautifully out of a 4 to 5 inch pistol may struggle to get adequate penetration from a 2".. so you'll want to find something tailored to short barrels if you plan on this being a defensive weapon
