AR9 or AR15 Pistol?

Hey Folks,
I'm looking for some good opinion here.

I swore I would not be buying any more firearms....with other preps taking precedence over firearms and ammo.

The recent civil unrest has me considering buying a trunk gun....either a 9mm based carbine like a Sig MPX, PTR 9CT or AR9 platform vs an AR15 .223 Pistol setup.

They are all pistols with stabilizing braces and the ammo I have in compatible for both platforms.

We carry 9mm pistols in our vehicles now.

The purpose of the gun would be to escape from civil unrest with my vehicle stuck ont he highway or a road being blocked by violent protestors.

I have my reasons for this that are legitimate concerns.

So on one hand...a 9mm carbine gives me 2 platforms to shoot from with a common round

The 5.56 platform is simply a more devastating round being able to penetrate vehicles more easily.

This is kind of surreal that I would even post a question like this....but I have a pretty close call a couple of weeks ago with this.

Thoughts?
