Another .22 scope ?

I just got a 10/22 for a truck gun and have a couple of scopes laying around. One is a Leupold M8 6x 42mm, the other is a Redfield partner 3-9x40. Both make the gun a bit too top heavy and are not ideal but the M8 at 6x I feel is too much magnification even though it is better glass. So I was leaning towards the Redfield. I'm planning on using a see thru rail so that I can leave the scope off and still use the iron sights. Scope will use weaver rings since I had them laying around as well.

Thoughts on which one you would use? Thanks
