Brother out law brought over his new 3 1 / 2 inch magnum turkey thumper with a box of what looked like artillery shells to feed it.

It was dark and we decided to fire a few into my north field for the heck of it. He took the first shot and it made MY fillings rattle. I think the international space station saw the muzzle flash.

I took the next shot – hard grip and doing the push / pull and recoil was stout but not as bad as I thought. Blast was intense. Quick break for ear muffs to go with ear plugs.

Last shot was at a full generic coke can on the ground 15 paces away. I held the flash light, brother out law did the honors. He must have hit it square on - can darn near evaporated. We did find about a quarter of the top the rest was little bits of red and silver aluminum. Shells were Remington 2 oz #4 shot.

He’s happy with it which is what matters. Shoot it again? As they say in TX - El passo ....
