Is this combo good enough?

I'm on a fairly tight budget of approximately $1000 give or take a few bucks for item 1&2. I've come up with this combo for me.
1. Century Arms C308: I've shot it and I'm pretty decent with it even with just the iron sight. This will be for larger games/longer range defense. It has a decent caliber and parts/magazines are lower cost.
2. Remington 870: Self defense short range. I'm also thinking Mossberg here. I pick these two because I can get them used at decent prices.

3. CZ75B: This one I already have so no change here.
4. Kukri: This one I already have so no change here. It's a $25 knife with decent steel and a terrible edge that I've fixed as soon as I got it. BTW, I like it a lot since I've used Kukri in the past and am decent with it.

What do you folks think? Enough to survive in Cajun country?
PS: I don't need to hunt small games with rifles, I can trap them if necessary. Plus I'm decent at fishing.
