The dried inner bark when shredded and rubbed to individual fibers and kept dry is superior tinder.
Your spindle should be a different non resinous wood, when I can get it I prefer yucca.
The bow it self is whatever works for you
The string is what works I prefer natural cordage, synthetic seems to polish the spindle.
The bearing block I use is a horse knuckle, I met one guy that used an old skateboard wheel for its bearings.
