Hello from OKlahoma

So here I am. I have camped, hunted and fished my whole life. I have learned of made made EMP and CME from the sun that can result in a natural EMP type event. The possibility of a currency collapse and peak oil, then a pandemic. Hopefully non of these events ever occurs but to be completely unprepared would be unwise while being totally focused on such type events would result in a decreased enjoyment in life unless being prepared could be made fun.

So I want to spend time doing little things so that my 6yo son and I can have fun while teaching him survival skills. So I am here and thinking I will do things with my son for the fun of it.

My wife and some of her friends were wowed by my son. One of the women said something about electricity and he went into an explanation. He has been learning about everything! LOL He knows 3 ways to purify water in a bad situation, tablets, boil and bleach. Its a start. Can't wait to go camping!
