I currently have a 10 yr old computer that uses IE which goes to google and firefox as a second internet source. My operating system is no longer supported and I am trying to decide what to replace it with. Firefox was fine except youtube videos stop, start and freeze. When they do play they do not synchronize with sound. When I use IE which goes to google it use to be great but 2 days ago the video would not pull up. The screen is complete with all upcoming videos listed on right of screen and all items below but screen for video is black, no video or anything, just a black screen where video should be. I am an old DOS man (1970's) and do not understand how to use new tech. I want to see movies and video (youtube) but do not know how to make new tech work. I will buy a new computer but do not know which one. I can get a box like I have now, new being about the size of a shoe box, $400, or a lap top. Because of old age and bad eyes I think the box, with a large monitor, is better than a lap top with a small monitor. Please, what should I get. Besides things like my bank, this site and email I watch movies and music on youtube. What should I get? Your help is greatly appreciated. Maybe an old dog can learn new tricks, but I doubt it. Thank You, and I really need help.
