What is your opinion on background checks?

Do you think backgrounds checks or infringement on 2nd ammend. rights as a whole will ever be fully restored without limitations for everybody rather than just blanket bans?

I ask because I just saw this-

and am curious, would we ever have a position where backgrounds checks would not happen any longer? What about laws that make no sense like if you potentially COULD(not DID) have gotten over 1 year in jail MAXIMUM sentence for a misdemeanor and not a felony, you still lose your gun rights?

Myself not included but a close friend of mine is affected by the "You POTENTIALLY could have gotten over 1 year in jail for your maximum sentence for a misdemeanor and therefore lost your gun rights for life" even though he had no priors and never did any jail time for the offense.

Majority of the data points towards excessive gun control and background checks not nearly doing as much as thought to keep firearms out of the wrong hands and it is very simple for a criminal to circumnavigate background checks. I personally feel EVERYONE has the right to defend themselves and relying on police to do so is wrong, criminals don't wait for law enforcement response times.

What is your opinion on the whole situation? Would we ever see a full restoration of EVERYONE'S rights?

Let's block ads! (Why?)
