Stick With i355s Or Move To Something Else

I have 8 Motorola i355s that I am currently using as walkie talkies. I mainly use them around the property now and then also when we travel.

The issue I'm worried about now is batteries. I am running low on batteries that actually hold a charge. I have seen the option to convert to 3x AAA batteries. It looks like a bit of a project though and I'm worried it won't be as resilient as a factory battery. I have also seen where you can replace the battery inside with one off of ebay. Again, soldered leads and I'm not sure how resilient it would be.

So, I have been thinking if I should move to something else. I have a couple Baefongs also and one broke already. But, for the price, I'm considering more of these. Something like this:

Each of those setups costs about the same as the replacement battery back on ebay that can be transplanted into the i355 battery case:
