You can drink clean clear urine from a fully hydrated person. But nobody is going to do that if they are fully hydrated. However, the more concentrated urine is still useful.
Use it to keep your head and neck cool by dipping a rag in it.
If you have a reverse osmosis filter, that will clean it up. You may find these in life rafts and boats intended for ocean travel. (But if you have ocean water why would you want to use urine in it?) Sorry but even a virus level filter won't help. Salt and urea molecules are too small.
Distill it. Les Stroud once made a still from flotsam he found along a beach on an island off Baja. Alternatively, you can rig up a solar still to do it.
Don't use it as an enema, either. An enema is a medically sound method of rehydration if the oral route is unavailable and sterile IVs are also unavailable. Your body does NOT remove salts from water ingested this way, however, and it is little different from drinking it.
Neither Lynn Robertson nor Bear Grylls used urine or seawater in their enemas. They used runoff rainwater containing a little bit of salt and biological contamination. Your basic MSR filter would have worked as well.
Even Bear Grylls himself admits that a lot of what he does is for ratings and is really bad advice. Drinking his urine was one of them.
