Why so hard to treat Mojave bites?

Happened to find this interesting map. They sampled 9 different snakes from different areas. They key showing the different types of venom components is in the upper right. The various pie charts show the venom composition of each snake sampled. Look at how much variation there is.

You can see 4 different general categories of venom compositions. Within each category, there is noticeable variation. Also note the grey "others" category.
