Hiding A Shelter In Plain Sight

Hiding A Shelter In Plain Sight
There may be situations where attempting to completely conceal a shelter or hideout is not practical. In such cases, disguising it may be a better alternative, if it is done well.
I posted this in another place but thought it deserves its own thread. Other members may have creative ideas on how to have a shelter that will not attract attention. Here is my first suggestion.

Buy a large old water tank truck. Clean out the tank, make a bottom entrance into it, and outfit it to live in. Paint a Sewage Disposal Company logo on it, and paint nasty brown and black streaks down the sides. Flat two of the tires (that can be reinflated). Leave the doors and hood open. Crack (but don't destroy) the windshield. Remove the distributor and plug wires and keep them.

The steel on those tanks is substantial. Tanks of 3/16 A36 steel plates appears to be standard. A 4000 gallon tank will have 534 cubic feet of space. A 6000 gallon tank will have 800 cubic feet of space.
