Random magazine storage

As "The great cleanup" continues:

I have a couple milk crates of "random magazines". I used to only keep any over what the gun came with from the factory (gun came to me with 3, 2 from the factory I kept one.)

Realized I shouldn't, and whatever I took in on trade, got tired of etc I let go with one mag.

So I have random mags that don't fit in something I can use, or are "extra" to my needs.

Figured I should mark them before I forget. (Too late in a couple instances.)
Best I can think to do is put them in zip lock bags and label them. (Ruger P series are the worst, I'm going to have to try them in the guns to sort them by calibers.) Then toss them in a bin till needed or I'm the old guy with a table full of mags for sale (or the "high caps" get to be worth ridiculous money and I sell them, or give them away.)
Anyone got any better ideas?
