Visit the Black Lives Matter website, and the first frame you get is a large crowd with fists raised and the slogan “Now We Transform.” Read the list of demands, and you get a sense of how deep a transformation they seek.
One proclaims: “We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear-family-structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and ‘villages’ that collectively care for one another.”
A partner organization, the Movement for Black Lives, or M4BL, calls for abolishing all police and all prisons. It also calls for a “progressive restructuring of tax codes at the local, state and federal levels to ensure a radical and sustainable redistribution of wealth.”
Another M4BL demand is “the retroactive decriminalization, immediate release and record *expungement of all drug-related offenses and prostitution and reparations for the devastating impact of the ‘war on drugs’ and criminalization of prostitution.”
The goals of the Black Lives Matter organization go far beyond what most people think. But they are hiding in plain sight, there for the world to see, if only we read beyond the slogans and the innocuous-sounding media accounts of the movement.
The group’s radical Marxist agenda would supplant the basic building block of society—the family—with the state and destroy the economic system that has lifted more people from poverty than any other. Black lives, and all lives, would be harmed.
Theirs is a blueprint for misery, not justice. It must be rejected.
Communist agitators are not new in the US. Communism was popular and played a big part in labor union violence in the mid 1920s through WW2. The moneyed elites were enamored with Uncle Joe (Stalin)’s programs especially. Some progressives even today go as far as characterizing WW2 as the war to save Joseph Stalin.
Today's New Reds (AOC and her opportunistic jihadist friends) look to FDR's New Deal the ideal model of government by fiat. When they gain power it will take several generations to wrest it from them, if it happens at all. Oligarchy is the natural state of government through the ages and tyranny is it’s principle tool. (Both Cicero and Aristotle describe the cycle of Anarchy, Democracy, Monarchy, Oligarchy quite clearly. There are local variations but the pattern holds generally.)
The real power behind the throne seems to be the Titans of Industry, currently dominated by the leftist-learning tech sector (in years past it was manufacturing and energy production). The Titans shape and fund the current insurrection for their own ends, often through government bureaucrats and elected officials. Not a new phenomenon at all.
I expect escalating unrest in the cities regardless of how the election turns out.
It doesn’t take a genius to recognize the street tactics and organization being used in cities across our country have been uniform, and their initiation is well-synchronized. BLM and Antifa allowed local circumstances and reactions to determine the duration and intensity of their efforts in any given city.
More striking and existentially dangerous-is that the Leftist (Democrat) politicians in these targeted cities have uniformly taken the approach of standing down their police forces and allowing "room to riot." In so doing, they've placed themselves squarely on the record as refusing to do the jobs for which they were elected, appointed, sworn, and paid to do. This uniform permissiveness is clearly a coordinated strategy, combined with cover from the very top: Pelosi, Schumer, and Biden himself.
We are witnessing the spectacle of a major American political party uniformly backing insurrection and rebellion in an election year, pretending that riots are peaceful protests and that violent anarchists and criminals are socially conscious Americans of virtue.
The anti-Trump, anti-white, anti-family, anti-Christian, anti-Constitutional, anti-law & order, anti-police agenda has been essentially monolithic. We are witnessing a revolution without the shooting, thoroughly coordinated from the street freaks all the way up to Biden himself. This is the single most distinguishing feature of the Democrat election strategy. They make NO apologies for the violence, destruction, and flagrant anti-white humiliation and racial discrimination.
From my view, the size and scope of these efforts represent a classic Communist insurgency by the old Soviet playbook. The Democrats and their media propaganda machine claim it's just progress, "moving forward," and that's Soviet-style disinformation in perhaps its purest form. They'll pretend it's business as usual, in the expectation that the veneer of normality will stay the hand of the millions sworn to "defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic." Conservatives respect law and order, and it's generally not in our DNA to take kinetic action against those operating under color of law.
Understand that the Democratic Party is now and has always been the home of anti-liberty politics. They prefer aristocratic centralized control of all aspects of the economy and population. The outward manifestation of their ideology changes over time, but the underlying principle is constant: "We know better than you how to run a society and you’ll do as you’re told or else." A purely caste system. It’s been this way since Andrew Jackson, and to Loyalists during the first revolution. Their main currency is empty promises to recruit the useful idiots and violence to those who don’t go along.
Traditional Nationalists are majority folks who prefer the rule of law being applied equally to all, respect for property rights, sound money, actual representative government, productive work and fair remuneration for that work based on market principles, etc. Some Traditional Nationalists are Republican, some are "old school" Democrats, and most independent voters. All just want to get on with life according to their values, the Constitution as black letter law, etc., without being harangued and threatened by the Woke minority.
Woke Minority in America is analogous to the Loyalist minority that ruled the northern Six Counties of Ireland by force and fiat, with the backing of troops and money from London. Just as the Ulstermen had their various armed wings (loosely affiliated), so too the Woke Minority has BLM, Antifa, John Brown Gun Clubs, Red Neck Revolt, and other loosely affiliated groups. These groups use similar tactics and coordinate efforts by putting their playbook out on the internet. Big Tech is complicit. Internet communication is much more time efficient than meeting in pubs and sending things through the Royal Mails. Makes things easier for the Woke Minority, especially since they have the tacit (and sometimes express) backing of local, state, and national politicians.
In classical insurgency theory, Democratic governors and mayors instruct their police and national guard to stand by and provide space for the “peaceful protests of those who need to Burn Loot and Murder" to spread their message.
The Woke Minority is itself a cultish religion where intersectionality and victimhood are the main virtues celebrated by the adherents. Like any cult or rising religion, they tolerate no heresy. Their response is of course the “Cancel Culture” and “peaceful protest” to excommunicate the heretic who fails to toe the line. It’s as much a piety display as internal policing of the ranks; everyone wants to be the most pious wokester, the greatest victim demanding reparations from the old guard. It’s a religion for those who reject traditional Western Judaism or Christianity. That partly explains their affinity for the Mohammedans (the other part of the explanation is the clear aristocracy built into Mohammedan faith and the historic Mohammedan affinity for Hitler and Stalin).
So, the Woke Minority follow a different faith from the Traditional Nationalists. Traditional Nationalists aren’t a monolithic block when it comes to religion. Few active practice one of the major western faiths. Many (more than half) are Christmas and Easter Only practitioners, the remainder include regular practitioners and those who profess the faith to some degree but rarely attend church. The common thread across Traditional Nationalist values is captured pretty well in last week’s Smithsonian info graphic on “whiteness”: a good work ethic, nuclear family, heterosexual relationship, personal responsibility, etc. (You may still be able to find the graphic on the archive web, but I suspect it’s been taken down after the firestorm erupted about it.).
It is clear to see how the values and mores of the Wokester Minority and the Traditional Nationalist are in diametric opposition. It is hard to reconcile them without a lot of good will, strong borders, and a big stick to enforce agreed policy.
So that’s where we are. Two rival factions occupying pockets of territory in conflict. Each has their secure base of operations. The Wokester Minority makes forays to contest and expand their zone of control. The Traditional Nationalist has yet to oppose these advances in any meaningful way, depending on government officials to do their job and protect life and property uniformly. That situation won’t last much longer. Either the Traditional Nationalists will organize local self preservation groups to oppose the Burn Loot Murder mobs, or they will quietly get on the bus to reeducation camps (metaphorically if not literally).
POTUS has the right instincts about using the Insurrection clause to overcome 10th Amendment arguments by the politicians in Liberated Zones. He’s hamstrung by Lawfare and an Attorney General that do not appreciate the urgency of our current moral hazard. Now is not the time to be timid in suppressing insurrection, even with the looming election. The campaign plan and rational should be explained to the American people, and then vigorously implemented by Federal Troops in the same way integration was implemented.
Most American conservatives aren’t mentally equipped to take the fight to the enemy, because they fear the legal consequences that inevitably come. A long prison sentence may be too much to ask in service of the cause. It wasn’t for the Republicans or the Ulstermen, but it might be for fed-up, rural Americans. If Traditional Nationalists choose to contest the issue, expect sworn LEOs to lead that fight both openly and in the form of night letters. Their example will inspire supporters or land them in prisons; depends on the region and how much backing they get from first line leadership.
Its a tough thing to ask a man to risk his livelihood; so the LEOs are between a rock and a hard place. Most want to do the right thing, while continuing to feed their families and staying out of the iron bar hotel. I don’t envy them, but they are the critical pin in this. I suspect a lot of folks are waiting on the sidelines to see how the elections turn out. If things are going to get sporting on a large scale it will be after the election.
Post-election the Wokesters will rampage no matter how it turns out. It’s either a mandate to impose their plan, or an excuse to riot against a system that robbed them of their birthright. If Traditional Nationalists hold the executive branch and one house of congress (not a sure thing at all), they will only pick away at the edges. If they lose, in all likelihood they will sit idly.
I find it incredible that the "authorities" in Portland, Seattle and elsewhere are allowing these riots to continue, putting officers in such danger, yet restricting their ability to deal with the perpetrators. Officers are being injured by frozen water bottles and fireworks thrown at them, permanently blinded by laser purposely aimed at their eyes, and they're getting chained inside public buildings as rioters attempt to burn down the building!
This doesn't look like winning to me, its surrendering. The Speaker of the US House of Representatives actually called Federal agents "Trump's storm troopers," because they finally dared to make some arrests after almost two months of rioting. This is pure insanity!
Authorities are paralyzed or actively hostile to law and order, and the populace stands silently, afraid to act. Nobody doubts that the "authorities" will prosecute anyone who dares "take the law into his own hands," despite the fact that these same authorities do little or nothing to suppress the riots.
The Blue state governors and Blue, sanctuary city mayors are part of an concerted effort to undermine President Trump and secure electoral victory in November, and clearly are willing to sacrifice all of us to achieve their goals. And nobody except Trump seems to be offering any resistance to this insurrection. Where is the AG and DOJ? This is Third World stuff, albeit with a low body count...so far. Of course, for the dead and their families, it may as well be World War III. Their loved ones are every bit as dead as anyone who fell at Normandy or Iwo.
