THE HORSE.. what if it never made it...

SAy the horses ancestors didn't make it past the big dino killer asteroid 65 million years ago.

No horse, zebra, donkeys, burros, etc etc...

That meant, there were never horses to use for the Egyptians and Romans to go to war. Genghis Khan would not have swept the Steppes of Asia riding oxen... There were never horses for the SPaniards to investigate the New WOrld nor horses to use for the plains Indians.. Nothing for settlers to pull their wagons but oxen and such.
No stage coach horses... things like that.

Without the horse, would mankind have progressed as far as we have or would we be generations behind simply because getting to where we were headed would take so much longer. ... if we ever got there at all...?

Just a question to ponder instead of all the gloom and doom so prevalent in our world.
