Securing BOL when not there

Ok so I used the search function and couldn't find any relevant posts. What i am after is the following. I would like to purchase some land for a cabin and recreation in south eastern or southern Ohio. How do you secure the property and more importantly any building. With our schedules I could see not being there for weeks on end but would like to know when I get there for a weekend I would have to spend hours cleaning up from vandals and what not. Let me your experiences.
