I have a tiddler grandson and we are at the mo getting him to fire primers to make the tiddler interested but with out any recoil and to keep it light and fun. over this year we want to bring him up to firing full light weight 2" .410 shells so we are going to increase the steps in power by reloading in blanks.
as i have never made a blank befroe i just want to ask a couple of quick questions.
we want to use plastic hulls and not brass and i dont want to cut them down to roll the ends. is there any thing wrong with a hull and primer and drop of powder and then the over shot card holding it all in in the base of the case.
we were looking at 1/8" cork overshot cards as holders rather than cardboard
is the cork going to cause me issues with loadings and power,
we are looking for a bigger bang than a primer but no recoil or shot wanted yet he is only a tiddler afterall, and we dont want to frighten him off.
making small blanks for a .410
