All this crap has probably set race relations back 50 years.

You're probably exactly right, I'm afraid. I'm just hoping maybe it'll simmer down at least a little after November. But yeah, we were in a good spot in the 80s, 90s, and 2000's to where (I thought anyway, as we were taught in school) that racism had been defeated. I got along with the black kids at school and didn't look at them any different, and they didn't treat me any different. It was as it should have been. But now all of the sudden, those decades of progress are lost, and now more reparations are being demanded and really BLM seems just like a hate group to me. But it's being tolerated, even promoted, for some screwed up reason. I'm not racist and I usually don't like to get political because I don't like to appear biased. But if someone looks at what's going on and thinks it's a "good thing", I'd have to say that person is completely mad. Martin Luther King would turn in his grave if he saw this insanity. This was not his dream.
