Part of the problem is that most delivery people no longer ring the doorbell to let you know an package has been delivered.

We receive deliveries from a range of online stores. It's rare for any delivery person to ring the bell these days. Amazon and UPS are the worst. They must have a policy that says they should not touch doorbells.
