Lake Charles keeps it's confederate memorial

Wife sent me a bit of good news today. The police jury in L.C. voted 10 to 4 to keep the monument on the court house lawn honoring the confederate soldiers who died in the civil war.

It is a simple bronze of an infantry soldier, at the base is a placard,
"The south's defenders".
