Wow... good on ya. Very, very few have the gumption to complete such a change.

Florida to Wyoming is going to be a HUGE shock, especially the first week in February. You'll have to sell your board shorts and flip-flops ...... trading for a down coat. (humor intended)

I do think it is smart to rent for a year. The wife may hate Wyoming by the 5th month, especially if you are uprooting her from family.

But on the positive.... Wyoming is full of "salt of the earth" folks that are outstanding!

My favorite is Sheridan and Buffalo. Lander and Riverton would be a close second.

The dip in Oil and Gas has been very hard on Wyoming. Cities that are built on that backbone, may not be the place to go this year. Matter of fact, O&G is feast and famine and not something to count on. Rock Springs is an example.
