Reading the Quoran

And of course it's writer or writers like the idea of beating women, but must stop just short of leaving marks.

But the most startling thing to me is that after about a fifth of the way through (I skim a lot due to the gibberish way of writing.), There are mainly two characters talked about and always in a positive light. One, of course, is Allah, their god. The other is Jesus. I always thought Muslims hated Jesus, but not according to their holy book. And when Muslims eventually conquer the world, Christians and Jews will not be killed because they are of the Bible even though they think Christians and Jews mistranslated it. They will kill everyone else but will keep Christians and Jews as slaves (If they repent and become Muslims.) Muslims think that Jesus is Allah's very important prophet but they do not believe he died on the cross, because that would make him a god and Muslims believe in monotheism rather than polytheism.

Some people might wonder why I would read such a book, but think of it this way. If two football teams were playing and only one knew the plans and ideas of the opposite team, which team would have the best chance to win? We really should know something about our adversary, shouldn't we?

Islam revolves around 'prophets'. In their faith, Jesus was one of those prophets and is afforded quite a bit of reverence. Where they begin to diverge is that they believe Muhammad is the last and greatest prophet.

Islam as a religion was designed to work with city-states and nomadic tribes. The leaders had to be harsh and in control. The people had to be hard and either devoted to their leaders, or cowed into submission. The city-states formed temporary alliances with some of their neighbors while battling others. Rapid procreation and paternal dominance were necessary to them as population=power.

Islam has not adapted to national and global theaters. It will with time. In the mean time, they need to be left alone. We can trade goods with them, but we need to be an example they WANT to spire to. Take away our disastrous foreign policy, and we can be quite an inspiration to them.

And of course, we need to insist that Muslims in the US obey our laws or be prosecuted and imprisoned. Their local religion just won't work in our nation without changes.

Despite what some of their haters say, there are actually a lot of them in our country who have already begun to adapt. Then again, there are others who haven't. If they break the law, no mercy.
