cooking without tools

Defaultcooking without tools

Take this for what its worth, but I've eaten it and it works: (I used a rooster), but other stuff works, too. Just "acquire" a chicken, remove head and feet, pack in mud about an inch thick and put in a hot fire with plenty of hot coals. Keep the fire going and the coals hot for the next 8 hours or so. Break off the clay. The mud sticks to the feathers, the feathers stick to the skin, and the meat is steamed to tender (even with an old rooster). The innards will just drop out in a congealed clump when you separate the breast from the back. I guess you can pick out the heart and liver if you wish.
