i am looking for planting ideas for edibles
I have house a house on 1/2 acre 100 miles from home,
have tried typical gardening but without being there often enough am not very successful,
while area is fairly wet, watering system is important, as even in wet area dry spells tend to kill, stunt the plants
also have 50 acres 300 miles from home
am looking for ideas on what to plant/how that doesnt require regular maintenance,
fruit/nut trees, berries, wild edibles, etc..
have apple trees that work well, other fruit trees have not been so successful
pear produces for 1-2 years then stops producing, cherry trees tend to get damaged by ants,
house is in NE PA , 50 acres northern NY
any ideas/suggestions is appreciated
