Emergency Essentials has a sale on their freeze dried pork sausage. It's about 32 bucks for 24 ounces. Does anyone know the what the weight of the 24 ounces of sausage will be when its rehydrated? I know the price is going to be high per pound regardless of the ratio, and I'm not going to pay 15 dollars a pound for sausage, but if it's significantly less I might pay just for the convenience of having something lightweight to stick in my pack during my hikes.
