Shouldn't cost you anything, they threw in a free backpack, hardhat, vest, a few other things but that depends on their current budget. I forget, I think its 29 hours. Pretty basic but worthwhile. We got to use fire hose and extinguishers one night. Did a little extrication and search and rescue in a structure they borrowed from county wide fire training facility. Fire dept, search and rescue, ham radio were involved. Also free online resources. I don't know how individualized the classes are to area disasters, here in the pnw the cascadian subduction fault was the big issue. They say aid will go first to the city, rural areas might not get help for three months.
