EMP's on trains both steam, diesel and electric?

What would the effects be on our railroad from different aged locomotives and the signaling systems? How much of our country is in a 'dark territory' these days and where is that?

Would freight/goods trains be less vulnerable as they are usually older types? What would become of rolling stock, water towers, coal depots, fuel depots, washing stations.etc? I can't imagine them ALL being abandoned.

What do you think railroad people would do when one occurs? How far would they go before they abandon them? Could they even GET to their homes?

It's one thing to have your home prepped but to not be there because duty calls then SHTF event occurs while your in foreign territory?

In fact how are train infrastructures in other countries against long term power failure? Aging or doing pretty good? Could India be quicker to recover since they seem to lose power quite often and are used to period of it?

Who's here from a railroad perspective of things or has knowledge/access to it? How good is Run 8 in terms of locomotive handling vs Dovetails? Some of the paid DLC's of Dovetails can be quit tricky requiring the actual manual to the locomotive to operate it if you want to actually be any good at it. Do they give a good idea of the infrastructure layout and the feel of their age depending on scenarios?

Let's block ads! (Why?)
