20 years ago, you could call a taxi for pick-up and state your location being "a block west of Kipling and Colfax" and have no issue. Nowadays, if you can't provide an exact numeric address, they vapor lock on the request. Same for your destination- saying what should be a known destination, like "Jefferson Park", results in blank stares. Also, the concept of "drive 3 miles past the city limits sign and turn right" is also foreign to today's delivery drivers.
Pathetic on how dependent people have become on GPS and electronic directions.
Inability to process non-address directions
