Should Survivalists Organize on the Local Level?

I am aware, of course, of the reticence of many peppers to let their identity be known so that preps remain unknown, but given the social unrest throughout our nation would it now be wise to seek our fellow survivalists in local communities to organize for self-defense on the local level?

Most of us who live at our BOL feel a bit less threatened by the insanity in our cities, but, for instance, if Biden gets elected and wants to confiscate weapons, then perhaps it might be helpful to have a community of like-minded souls to plan and discuss how best to deal with the situations that may arise.

Let's face it the best of all worlds would be if everyone (or nearly everyone) in your community were a prepper. Perhaps we could brainstorm some ways to help our small communities become more aware of the need for prepping without giving up personal information.

Just some random thoughts here.
