I'm new here too, just signed up about 15 minutes ago. Still trying to find my way around the site.

Looking for someone who knows about Fresnel lenses. Don't know yet where to ask that question. Need to know if the large ones from those old TVs, can be cut down so that the center of the lens is preserved but not all of the outer edges of the lens that make it so bulky.
