Because they are afflicted with the disease of instant gratification, which in this particular case translates into, if I need supplies, I'll think about getting them when I need them. They know where they're for sale, right?

It stems from the basic needs our society fulfills with the snap of a finger. Their credit card can make it appear NOW, the big trucks roll on the interstates 24/7, making all of it available to them when the mood strikes, and their alcohol drink will wash it all down with sexy adventure. Besides, there is a game (or two or six) on, and they have worked hard all week and the recliner is THE place to be!

Planning? Preparing? Saving? Sacrificing? What sort of un-American activities are they? They get what they need when they need it, thank you. If there was any other way, no one ever showed them, or they didn't think those rules would apply to them... because those rules do not fit the instant gratification paradigm.

Tomorrow is another day, and it'll be just like today, right?
