Wooden bunkerI have a basic design in mind. I'm going to dig about 12 feet down into the hillside and build a wooden structure much like a shipping container inside the hole. I will be using 2x6's for the framing and 1/2 inch thick plywood for the walls and floor, I was thinking about pouring concrete between the inner and outer walls for added protection/strength. It will be 24 feet long 10 feet wide and 8 feet from floor to ceiling with 1 foot of concrete on top and 3 feet of soil. My main concerns are how to supply power for ventilation, heating and lighting, how to set up plumbing, and how to waterproof the walls floor and ceiling...if anyone has any suggestions or experience doing these things, any information would be much appreciated.
