Let's play a Game

Thought this might be fun, and would also help me come up with some ideas as well. So the game can work 1 of two ways.

1. You can play off of my scenario.
2. You can go off of what would work best for you.

1. You are a person in their early 30's living in a rural midwestern state. You want to prepare your family for any possible future environmental/societal disasters. Because of your location, you don't need to really worry about hurricanes or earthquakes or floods, but blizzards and tornadoes are common. You have a farm of 12 acres, 10 or so guns, with a decent amount of ammunition for each, and are well trained on the use of them with prior military service being in your background as well. You have about a month of food and water stored, but that is about the extent of your preps so far. You randomly get 3200$ to spend. What do you buy?

2. You randomly get $3200 to spend on the preps of our choice, what do you spend it on?
