Vehicles for SHTF

My friend and I were talking vehicle options for SHTF, either EMP or just a financial collapse. He brought up the Ford Bronco for it's off road suspension, and the 2.5 and 5 ton troop carrier trucks, which run multiple fuels and the cab might be armored.

Does anyone have a list of trucks which (a) run on diesel, (b) have no controlling electronics, (c) have off road suspensions?
And does anyone know which military surplus trucks would work well in such a scenario?
