Last week I found a Royal Berkey Water Filter in excellent shape. It was sitting on the floor by the coffee makers, and everyone was ignoring it. They probably thought it was just an old style coffee urn. It had two black Berkey filters and two plugs. It was $5. It sells new for $305.
I got it home, cleaned it up and it looks like new. The filters were used, with a normal brown patina on the outside. I made a garden hose back flush adapter and completely cleaned and flushed the filters. They look like new. It is now in service in my kitchen.
I also have a wide variety of brand new water filters designed for various water filters. I can make adapters for them to use in the Berkey if needed.
