Spring loaded turrets, how to zero?

Needless to say the Nikon manual wasn't very helpful on explaining how to reset their spring loaded turrets back to zero on elevation on a prostaff 5.

I'm assuming you just pull up on the turret and screw them in/down by finger and they will stop at the beginning zero point? Do I have to be careful not to over tighten them? Any tips?

Tried doing a quick youtube search and couldn't find anything really. All the other scopes I have had didn't have this option, or you used a Allen wrench for your re-zeroing.
