Cotton industry made small contributions to making pot illegal. Big tobacco was the real pusher (pun intended) for pot to be made illegal, it will grow in most states and would give big tobacco to much completion. (Why pay for what you can grow in your yard)
While pot and hemp are the same genus hemp is used for cloth, rope, and other products and will not provide a high.
I agree legalize and tax pot, stop the dumb arrest/convictions for what can grow wild or in a garden anywhere.
