Any tips before the power goes?

First priority is to get empty bottles or zip lock bags and fill them almost full of water, and put them (ziplocks standing up) in the freezer. This will help keep frozen food cold if the power cuts, and it also provides drinking water when they thaw.

Fill anything you can with drinking or for alternative use water for survival. Pots, bottles, the bathtub, etc.

Move everything to the top floor. Priority is for humans, animals, food, water, medicines, and valuables.

Put anything important you can fit into water tight containers.

Gather life jackets for humans and animals. Any floation devices or kayaks etc. are handy.

Spraypaint your roof that there are X number of people inside.

Several sets of clean clothing, and some soaps and hygiene items.

Communication devices and batteries and chargers. Radios. Flare gun. Phones. Walkie Talkies...

Should have BugoutBags ready to go just in case. Axes and flashlights and any other tools needed. All power tools with charged batteries, like saws and such, in case you have to cut your way out of a house or tree falls on it. Chainsaw ready. Etc.
