They probably have those things because they were smart about investing, or they both worked, or because the teacher is married to someone that makes good money in another industry.
If your buildings are crumbling, it's on the district and state, not on the teachers.
That said...I think she's EXACTLY the wrong person for the job....unless her job is to destroy the system.
Which may be a good thing.
