Zippo hack for evaporation and waterproofing

I like my Zippos! But, as we all know the fuel evaporates over the course of a week or two. Additionally, you don't want to drop one in the water and get the wick wet. I came up with a simple solution based upon a design I've seen used for Bic lighters.

The rubber sleeve prevents evap and provides waterproofing. To use the lighter just roll the rubber down past the lid, open and light. The grommet allows the lighter to be attached to your key chain or just about anything else with a small piece of paracord or carabiner.

This is how my Zippo will roll the next time we head out for the boondocks.
