Prepared for universal background check?

Besides it won't work, the net affect is that it will impact your choices. Advertising on Backpage.com in Arizona is the number one way to actually find new and pre-owned guns for sale here.

If all media is prevented or decides to play it safe and not allow any advertising, then we are back to word-of-mouth, friend of a friend, 3x5 card posted at the shooting range, etc. In places like California, Gun Shows have FFL's that run background checks on buyers for a fee and hold the gun for 10 days (just because).

They also deploy police to the shows as "Sting units" trying to tempt folks to bypass the system and arrest them. I imagine the BATFE would find a new purpose just arresting people at gun shows, etc.

The best part is that the cops are the biggest offenders. In California, my Dad bought and sold guns, cop-to-cop and they never bothered to do transfers at a gun shop. Who wants to pay a fee and have your purchase impounded for 10-15 days. The police and the DA have better things to do than arrest their own.

One Justice system for a few and another for the rest.
