Reconstituting & sanitizing used bar soap?

Reconstituting & sanitizing used bar soap?

A member here (getting old - forgot name) some time back posted he gets lots of free slightly used hotel type small bars of soap.

Which sparked an idea in my frugal old mind, as my daughter in law is head of housekeeping management at a major NV casino with 1500 hundred + hotel rooms with a high nightly turnover rate.

So, awhile back I asked her if she could have a few of the housekeepers set aside & save used bar soap that goes out in the trash anyway. She said she would.

Yesterday she called me and said I need to come get the soap, as storage space is limited on the loading dock.

Well, I drove over there at an appointed time in my car.

CAR = WRONG ANSWER.

On the loading dock were eight (8) forty (40) gallon used cardboard drums, all full of plastic waste paper bags of used bar soap weighing hundreds of pounds per drum.

Going back tomorrow with my truck to pick them up (way more than I realized and/or wanted).

The wife busted out laughing & has been calling me the SOAP KING all day.

Because that soap has surely washed a lot of arm pits, genitals & ass’s, it should all be sanitized.

So, I googled around on a way to relatively large scale sanitize / reconstitute it & didn’t come up with much useful info.

Any ideas, pointers, experience, references, etc., would be appreciated.
