Seeing a lot of news articles blaming individualism

Pop "individualism" into a news search bar and a lot of hits come up. It's being blamed for everything wrong in the world, especially the severity of the coronavirus pandemic.

Not just in America, either, but internationally.

This pandemic will pass, but I worry that individualism will be stigmatized like never before, for a long time to come. People will remember these past months, and that they were told individualism (and all of us who cherish it) are to blame -- for their fear, for their deprivation, for their isolation, for toilet paper shortages, for all of it.
