Converting Electric to mechanical Kitchen tools

How on earth did humanity survive for the last X thousand years?

I remember mixing and kneading bread by hand. As had the previous several hundred generations of my family. Never seemed like a big deal or an imposition on my time. If it WAS too much, we could make biscuits, cornbread or scones.

But then....none of us had a smart phone to attend to, TV or Youtube to watch 8 hours a day, Pinterest or Facebook or internet stuff to check to make sure we weren't falling behind in our efforts to be the best us we could be....

We were just living life, and feeding our families.
